Interesting facts
On June 04, 1992 new state symbols of Kazakhstan were approved for the first time. Therefore, this day entered the history of the country as the Day of State Symbols.

State symbols are symbolic symbols of the independence of the state. The national symbols are the flag, the coat of arms and the anthem.

The Constitutional Law “On State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan” was adopted on June 4, 2007. According to this Law, June 4 is celebrated annually in Kazakhstan as the Day of State Symbols.

State symbols are specifically recognized as symbols of independence and have a high status. Therefore, it is the duty of the citizens of the republic to treat state symbols with care.

Coat of Arms
Famous architects Zhandarbek Malibekov and Shot-Aman Valikhanov are the authors of the Coat of Arms of the State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The basis of the state coat of arms in terms of symbols is shanyrak. Shanyrak - the root of the state is the image of the family. Shanyrak - the Circle of the Sun, a symbol of infinity in nomads. Shanyrak - the dome of the house, the image of the house, the family for nomadic Turks.

The image of the horse from time immemorial symbolizes such concepts as courage, loyalty and strength. Wings symbolize the centuries-old dream of the multinational people of Kazakhstan to build a strong and prosperous state. They testify to pure thoughts and aspiration for consistent improvement and creative development. Golden wings of horses also remind golden ears and personify hard work of Kazakhstani people and material well-being of the country

State flag
The State Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is one of the main state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The author of the flag is the Honored Artist of Kazakhstan Shaken Niyazbekov.
The state flag is blue in color. In the center is a fabulous sun, soaring eagle under the sun.
Cloudless blue sky has always been a symbol of peace, tranquility and goodness in all peoples.
In heraldic (grass) dialect blue and its different shades correspond to moral qualities such as honesty, trust, hope. In translation from the Old Turkic language, the word “kөk” means “sky”. Blue color is a sacred concept for the Turkic peoples.
The sun is a sign of movement, development, prosperity and well-being. Eagle bird with wings is the image of the state, the beginning of everything.

Anthem
The recognizability of the solemn song of the country on the world stage plays a big role.
Kazakhstan had two such songs during the period of independence. The first kept the melody of the anthem of the Kazakh SSR, but had a new text written by famous poets Muzafar Alimbayev, Kadyr Myrzaliyev, Tumanbay Moldagaliyev and poetess Zhadyra Daribayeva.
The second one was adopted in 2006 to popularize the sound symbols of the country. The anthem was based on the patriotic song “Menin Kazakstanim” written in 1956 by Shamshi Kaldayakov on the verses of Zhumeken Najimedenov. The original text was slightly modified, and having acquired a more solemn sound, the song already familiar to the people acquired a special status.
