Independence Day of Kazakhstan

On December 16, our country Kazakhstan is celebrating the 33rd anniversary of its independence.

This holiday signifies the revival of our statehood and the fulfilment of our nation's enduring dream of freedom. It serves as a reminder of the importance of honouring the values and principles upheld by our ancestors while embracing our responsibility for the future of our nation. Independence is our shared and priceless treasure, the foundation of all our accomplishments, and the cornerstone of our identity. It is the highest priority, and it is the duty of every citizen to safeguard it.

December 16, the day marking the proclamation of Independence, also serves as a day to honour the memory of the tragic events of December 1986 in Almaty, when Kazakh youth protested against the USSR leadership's policies, which restrained the rights and interests of the nation's peripheries.

Congratulating on this anniversary Independence Day, we sincerely want to wish all fellow compatriots, as well as our foreign friends and partners, prosperity, wellbeing, good health, and new successes, despite we all live in so turbulent world!
